Cowgurl is a very talented Role Player and a rather active one at that. She has racked up over 600 posts and has a very active and well liked stable. She is a joy for everyone to RP with and keeps up interesting threads. She is friendly to all and keeps all of her characters active so as not to let anyone down. She has made a great stable runner and I'm happy to have her here with us at WRS. =]

It had been a few weeks since Tru had met Matt and already she had started to become herself again, happy, bubbly, and sweet Tru. Compared to the depressed, quiet, and sad girl that she had been the day she had met him. That day was a very important day for Tru, for one it was the day she got the neon cast off of her wrist and it was also her 16th birthday. Her Uncle Cris was the one who took her to the hospital to get it taken off then he took her to the DMV to take her test and she passed with flying colors, even in Cris's gigantic F350. He had taken out to a late breakfast and spend time her with, saying he wanted to spend time with his first neice. She knew that he was just keeping her away from the stable. God knows what they were doing or going to do for her birthday. She would be happy with just chilling with her family and having a dinner with them. She wasn't hard to please but apparently that wasn't what her family wanted. Her Aunt Lily had been driving her crazy. Everyday asking her what she wanted..what kind of cake and icecream she wanted..if she wanted a fancy car..if she wanted clothes or jewlery.. Tru finally told them that she just wanted a puppy. That didn't please Lily though, she wasn't happy with just getting Tru a puppy. When they finally got back from town Cris got inside first, going straight to the stable office. Tru stepped out of the truck and sighed softly. She closed the door behind her and looked around. She didn't realize it but she was hoping to see Matt. She wasn't sure if he would be able to get away from his family or the farm that day, even though she had invited him to come over. Her family loved him, they didn't care that he was competition, or that their families were rivals. Lily had teased them that they were like Romeo and Juliet except they weren't in love and she said that if they killed themselves she would have to hurt them. Her father had taken a likeing to him, he liked talking horses with him and had even taken him to see the new crop of foals that were in the far pasture away from the other horses. Tru thought that was amazing, since no one ever got to see the new crop until they were in shows. When she noticed she was just standing there she turned and walked dlowly towards the stable...

Matt had been busy all summer with his two new mares, Illicit Affair and Sky High. The two had made great progress over the season though, so Matt was very proud. They would probably never be as good as Regal Injustice, the Renoritania's pride and joy, but still they were doing very well. Matt was back in school now, so he had less and less time to train his horses and spend time with Tru, but he was trying. You would think that his family's stable, Applewod Gates, would have quieted down now that the main events, such as show jumping, 3 day eventing, and racing, were over. But now it was time for the Winter Gold Cup, in which riders compete in dressage, show jumping, and cross country competitions to compete for who is the best of the best. Matt's parents, Thomas and Heidi Renoritania, were busy preparing for that.
But Matt somehow found enough time to slip away to go to Tru's birthday party. She was turning sixteen. Matt's birthday was in a few months as well, he would be turning eighteen. He leaned against a stall, looking out and watching as Tru approached the barn. "Surprise!" he yipped when she entered, "I made it here! Happy birthday, girl."

Tru jumped slightly, not expecting someone to jump out at her. She saw Matt and she grinned brightly. "Hey!" She said with a small laugh. She hugged him and laughed again. "I didn't think you were going to make it!" She said with a grin. "Will you be able to stay for dinner?" She turned as she heard her Aunt's voice. "Tru! Matt! Come on! You're going to miss all the fun." She said with a small laugh. She knew Tru had no clue what was going to happen. But, they had put together a slide show of pictures and videos of Tru from the day the got her to just a few months before. She grinned wildly at Tru and put a crazy colored blindfold, she carefully tied it around Tru's eyes and her wildly curly red hair. She took Tru's hand and spun her around a few times, just so she wouldn't know where they were going. Even, though the were just going into the house. She looked at Matt with a grin. "Follow me!" She said with another smile. She led Tru by her hand into their large Victorian house. When they got inside she sat Tru down on the large couch, where her parents, siblings, and Uncle Cris were already sitting and waiting. On their large screen tv was a bright red screen with her name in blig blod green letters.

Matt entered the house, looking around at the now familiar setting. He had been invited into the house many times. He saw her family there and waved hello. He had become acquanted with them as well. He looked on the screen and stifled a chuckle by clearing his throat. He sat down on the floor, feeling the need for respect for Tru's mother, who would no doubt want to sit on the couch and watch. He had a feeling that there was going to be some humor in this slideshow. He wondered if Tru would be embarrassed by him seeing her baby pictures.

Tru's eyes were uncovered adn she looked at the screen. She laughed softly and shook her head. "Clever..with the red and the green." She said teasing her family. It was a joke most of the time in her family, about her bright red hair and her bright green eyes. Her father and his siblings had jet black jair with bright blue eyes, her both had hair the carmel colored hair had was wavy and soft brown eyes and her own siblings were her parents mixed together, Engel had jet black hair with thick waves and light brown eyes and her brother, Nicky had carmel colored hair with bright blue eyes. Tru's aunt sat next to her and smiled. Tru watched as the screen turned black and then the pictures started to appear. She smiled and watched. the first picture was of Tru, only a week old, witha tuft of bright red hair on her head and she was looking into the camera with a huge smile on her face adn her eyes were still bright green. Her Unce Cris was holding her laughing at something. The the next minute or so were pictures from her a few days old to her being three, ranging from birthdays, holidays and just random pictures. A video popped up, it was Tru only three on her faithful pony, Ducky. Tru was rambling about something, Andre was in the background with a proud grin on his face and her mother spoke from behind the camera. "Andre..You're looking at the most talented three year old in the state." She said with a laugh. this went on for at least ten minutes, the last one was a video on Tru, just that morning at midnight, Tru was sleepy eyed looking in the camera. "Uncle Cris...What are you doing?" She asked in a tired voice. "We go through this every year! No matter what time you wake me up I'm stil lgoing to look the same in the morning." She said with a sleepy grin, her bright curly red hair was going every which way. Her Uncle's booming laugh came from behind the camera. "Dear Tru..But no one ever gets to see you before you look so pretty and cleaned up." He said with another laugh. "Plus. I want to be the first to wish you a happy 16th birthday." He said then turned the camera on himself. "This is the dear Tru Demidov, world champion a force to be reconed with..On the morning of her 16th birthday. She's lean and mean..and will be driving a a few hours..I'll warn everyone! Get off the road!!" Tru was laughing. "Uncle Cris!!" She said with a small laugh. She took the camera from him and turned it on him. "And this is the crazy mad man deputy...world champion..Russian crazy who for the last 16 years of my life has woken me up at midnight..because he wants to be the one to wish me a happy birthday." She smiled and hugged her uncle and gave him a kisson his cheek. "I love him for it! but..I'm going back to bed." she was laughing when the video shut off. They put funny credits up and bloopers of silly pictures and videos. Tru laughed softly and playfully leaned over and hit her uncle. "I can't beleive you put that one up there!" She said with a grin. Her mom stood up and laughed softly. "Alright! Present time!" She said with a grin.

Matt laughed at some of the photos and videos. He felt fortunate to get a glimpse at some of Tru’s past. He especially chuckled at the last video, never before seeing her hair so wild. He turned to face Tru, getting up. “be right back,” he told her, then tousled her hair. He went out to his sedan and got out her present, wrapped in silver wrapping foil. Inside was a complete set of a diamond necklace, teardrop diamond earrings, and a diamond bracelet. He had wanted to get her something extravagant, something girly that she might wear when she was to a formal outing. He walked back inside and handed her the gift and a card that had a picture of a horse on it. “Read the inside aloud,” he urged her. It read: Happy Birthday, Tru! Have an awesome Sweet Sixteen- Just don’t eat too much cake! (Cough, Uncle Cris) Your friend, Matt.

Tru smiled and nodded as he left the house. Her parents and Aunt and Uncle went and got the presents from them. When Matt came back in she smiled and looked at the present and then opened teh card, reading it first and laughed softly before reading it outloud for them. "Happy Birthday, Tru! Have an awesome Sweet Sixteen- Just don’t eat too much cake! (Cough, Uncle Cris) Your friend, Matt." She read with a grin. Cris laughed softly and patted his stomach. "I'll just run it of later." He said with a grin. Tru laughed softly and opened teh present. When she saw the necklaces, earrings, and the bracelet she let out a gasp. She lookedat Matt with wide green eyes. She was speechless though. She took the necklace in her fingers carefully and clasped it around her neck, letting ehr fingers run over it. Cris watched his neice and laughed softly. "Well Matt..You've done something no one has ever gotten her to do...stop talking." He said teasing.

Matt grinned sheepishly. "I saw it at the jewelry shop a few weeks ago when we were at a competition in England and I just had to buy it for you." He watched as she fingered the beads and ducked his head a little. He hoped it wasn't too obvious yet, but he had a bit of a crush on Tru and seeing her watching him like that made those feelings more apparent.

Tru smiled and playfully slapped her uncle before standing and just hugging Matt. She too had a crush on him but no one knew it except her aunt and mother who at the moment were watching the two with a knowing smiles. Tru smiled up at Matt when she finally pulled away from him. "I love it Matt..It's amazing." She said quietly. Lilly smiled and looked at her brothers seeing their wheels turning in their head she took a step forward and put her hands on Tru's shoulders. "It's very beautiful.." She said softly. "But..you have many more presents left." She said with a grin. Tru nodded and sat down again, her brother and sister both walked up with pictures that were framed. Her brother's was a picture with Tru and him riding one of their retired racers. They were riding bareback, Nicky was in front, a small picture was in the background of the regular one and it was the same picture, but drawn by her brother. She looked at Engel's present and smiled softly. It was the same as her brother's except it was a picture of her and Tru riding two different horses, running through their feilds. Behind it was a picture drawn by Engel. Tru smiled and hugged her siblings and kissed them. "You two are the most amazing brother and sister anyone can have." She said with softly. She hadn't noticed but her uncle had disappeared. He was off getting the presents from him and Lilly. A minute later Cris came in with two picinic baskets. One that was on the small side adn one that was large. tru looked at them confused. "Baskets..I've always wanted one of these..." She said sounding suprised but happy. Lilly laughed softly. "No silly. Look inside." She said with a grin. Tru laughed softly and carefully lifted the lid on the small one, and a small Beagle puppy was looking at her. Tru gasped and picked up the puppy and cuddled it. "Awww. She's so cute.." She said with a small grin. The puppy licked the side of her cheek. She smiled as she held the puppy in one hand as she opened the next one and out popped a much larger Great Dane puppy. Tru laughed softly and picked that puppy up and held them both, while her mom was snapping pictures like crazy. Her aunt and uncle were laughing as they explained. "See...I wanted to get you a nice puppy that you could cuddle with." Explained her aunt, her uncle jumped in and laughed. "and i wanted you to get a big dog..." Lilly rolled her eyes. "So...we got you both." She said with a small laugh. "And they're both have registered parents...and I have the papers filled out you just need to think up names." She said with a tru. Tru smiled adn hugged her aunt and uncle and looked at her two puppies.

Matt watched with joy as she embraced her other gifts. He watched as pictures and two dogs were "unwrapped", if you will. He held out his hand for the puppies to sniff, and playfully scratched their ears. His cell phone began vibrating. He excused himself to answer it. He answered the phone, only to hear his father's booming voice on the other line, yelling at him as usual. He had planned for them to go to dinner that night and was angry at Matt for not showing up. Embarrassed, in knowing that Tru's family probably could hear his father's harsh voice, he quietly told his father that he had an important event to attend and had to cancel. Then he hung up. The important event was quite simply Tru's birthday. Though he knew he faced punishment when he got home, he decided Tru was worth it. He strolled back to his spot on the floor.

Tru looked at Matt as he came back in, concerned that she may have gon him in trouble. Lilly picked up the eye mask again and put it over Tru's eyes and helped her stand up. Tru held onto the beagle puppy, she was so tiny. She laughed softly. "You know...secrets don't make friends." she said with a grin. Lilly rolled her eyes and looked to Matt and pulled him by his arm. "You lead her out there....follow us ok.?" She asked with a small smile. After that Lilly, Cris, her mom, her dad, and siblings ran out of the house and towards the stable. Tru sighed softly and carefully lifted the mask and looked at Matt. "Do you know that's next?" She asked softly.

"I'm afraid I don't have a clue," Matt said honestly. Tru's family had done well with this one. He was sure that they knew he would tell Tru and spoil any surprise. He guided her outside so as to not cause her trip down the stairs leading out of the house or to walk into a tree or something. He looked out over the landscape, admiring the view. He spotted Marlene, his snotty girlfriend, riding along the borderline of the two rivaling stables, his own and Tru's, and prayed she wouldn't spot him. If she did, he would be in for a lot of screaming and tears, because she'd automatically assume the worst. But he managed to get Tru into the barn in one piece.

Tru laughed softly. She pulled down her eye mask again and walked with him. She was surprisingly calm as she was led blind to an unknown place. When they got the the stable she knew instantly where they were smelling the sweet smell of hay and horses. She grabbed Matt's arm with her free arm and gripped it slightly. She was afraid now, what had her parents gotten her. Engel and Nicky were standing there practically jumping up and down and then ran off for Matt to follow into the indoor arena. Where her parents and aunt and uncle stood with six amazing Gypsy Vanners. Her father and uncle held the two stallions, her mother and aunt both had a mare and a weanling foal. Her father looked at Matt and motioned him to turn her around facing away from them and then to take the blindfold off. All of the horses looked like they had been groomed endlessly, they all had huge big red ribbons around their necks, and their manes were neatly braided with red ribbons to tie them off.

Matt stifled a chuckle as Tru grasped her arm afetr they entered the stable. "Don't worry," he whispered, teasing, "I'm sure they didn't get you an old cow, at least." He followed her brothers into the indoor arena and caught his breath when he saw the gorgeous Vanners. He whisked Tru around the casually, but slowly, wanting to delay the moment so that the excitement of wanting to know what the fabulous birthday surprise was eating her up inside. He finally slipped it off, and spun her around to face her family and new horses.

Tru had held her breath the entire time. When her blindfold came off she saw the horses. She let out the breath she had been holding. She looked away from her parents and the horses, tears threatening to spill over. Her mom instantly saw it and handed off the two horses her to husband and brother in law. She ran over to her daughter and wrapped her arms around her rubbing her back. Tru loved the presents and was very happy but her mind went straight to her Vanner colt that was put down only a few months before. When she made she she wasn't crying anymore she pulled away from her mom and went to hug her father, uncle and aunt. "I love them.." she said softly.
